In order to reduce costs and keep profits, Japan's mold industry has moved low-end molds out one after another, only retaining high-end mold products. In view of this phenomenon, Luo Baihui, Secretary General of the International Mold Association, believes that this low-end mold industry mode can not only solve the high cost pressure of Japanese mold, but also expand the overseas mold market, and enhance the competitiveness of Japanese mold in the world market to a certain extent.
Due to the rise of raw material prices and the increase of labor costs, coupled with the impact of the financial crisis, the shrinkage of the global market, the mold industry of all countries in the world has been impacted to varying degrees, and the profits of the mold industry have declined.
In order to keep profits, Japan's mold industry has carried on the industrial layout again. Now Japan's die-casting die industry is gradually turning the low-tech die to low labor cost areas, such as India, Thailand, Myanmar and other countries, while Japan only produces high-tech products. Through the adjustment of industrial structure, Japan has accelerated the transfer of low-tech and high-cost mold enterprises to foreign countries, which has reduced the number of low-end molds in Japan. However, the added value of its domestic high-end mold industry is very high, so the profit of Japan's domestic mold industry has not declined.
